The origin and a characteristic of the Akita Inu, display about the Akita Inu including the story with celebrities are varied! Please enjoy the photo exhibition (favorite Akita Inu) of the Akita Inu which the Akita Inu photo spot is quite popular and raised from the whole country.

Railroad park
[place] It is about 100m on the east side from the Akita Dog Visitor Center building
The place where Akita Dog Visitor Center is built now is a ruin of Kosaka railroad Odate Station. I just leave the rail which performed freight and the passenger transportation such as the ores which were ever mined in Kosakakouzan where the amount of mining production was number one in Japan at the time and can know the history of the prosperity from a showpiece.
Handcar
I row a handle using the wiring of the old Kosaka railroad and operate a truck (300 meters in total length) for a limited time.

- As you disturb the snow-removal work in the winter season, please certainly stop the parking without permission.

Approach to the global environment
The Akita Dog Visitor Center introduces air-conditioning facilities with the quality of wood pellet fuel. It is the facilities which are carbon neutral by the quality of wood biomass utilization (renewable energy in consideration for the global environment).
